Open to organisations of all sizes from all industry sectors across the UK, the National Business Awards is the UK’s most coveted independent business recognition platform, with a particular emphasis on excellence, innovation and ethical business.

The Customer Focus Award celebrates those organisations demonstrating the link between customer service and profit. It recognises those constantly striving to exceed customer expectations, deliver industry leading standards of service, and innovate around customer experience.

FCm joins the ranks of Britain’s leading businesses and social enterprises which have been revealed as finalists in categories ranging from the Smith & Williamson Entrepreneur of the Year, Santander Small to Medium-Sized Business of the Year and the Ashridge Business School Leader to the UKTI Digital Business of the Year and QBE FTSE 100 Business of the Year.

Natalie Calvert, CEO, Calcom Group, judge for the Customer Focus category commented on FCm’s entry saying: “In a highly competitive market, FCm Travel Solutions is leading the way with an excellent alignment of business objectives, employee engagement and key performance indicators, all focussed towards delivering a great customer experience. Terrific partnership approach.”

Jo Greenfield, UK general manager, FCm Travel Solutions said: “This is the first time FCm has entered an awards programme outside of the business travel industry, so we are absolutely thrilled to have made the shortlist in such a competitive category, going up against organisations from a wide variety of sectors. It’s a tremendous achievement and a tribute to our partnership approach to nurturing relationships with clients, built on a foundation of providing tailored travel management solutions, highly personal service, value and results.

“We treat clients as individuals, designing and implementing travel programmes to suit their business needs and efficiency goals, in order not only to win new business, but more importantly retain that business in the long term,” she added. “Our people are vital to the success of this strategy. Their knowledge, expertise and customer-focussed approach to leveraging the company’s global reach and leading edge technology to deliver better travel ideas for our customers, is what creates the FCm difference.”

Alex Evans, programme director of the National Business Awards added: “The diversity and quality of this year’s finalists have firmly established the National Business Awards as the talent scout for UK plc with market leading household names recognised alongside the best emerging business brands. With a variety of industries represented, these recovery-leading businesses have demonstrated the return on investment in people, innovation, customer service and leadership.”
