FCm Account Management team shortlisted as finalists for Industry Award

FCm’s account management team has been nominated as a finalist for Account Management Team of the Year in the 2014 Business Travel People Awards.

Organised by The Business Travel Magazine, The People Awards recognise individuals and teams within travel management companies and travel suppliers whose professionalism and business excellence make them stand out from their industry peers. The winners will be individuals and teams who are judged to be outstanding performers in their field.

The Account Management Team award recognises the team that takes a proactive and consultative approach to providing unrivalled customer service, care and value to their clients.

The FCm team is made up of 20 highly skilled individuals whose strategic approach involves working in partnership with their clients to deliver the best possible results

Each account manager in the team has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate travel management in order to give clients ongoing assessment of their spend, existing travel patterns, and travel behaviour. Their expertise lies particularly in:

  • reporting and analysis – knowing how to extract the right information to help clients get the most value from their spend on travel

  • recommending compliance measures to maximise savings from a client’s policy

  • assisting with supplier negotiation

  • creating a strategic business plan that is a ‘living and breathing’ document

The team never rests on its laurels however, and is constantly looking for ways to add value to the service they deliver to clients, to ensure the ongoing development of best practice strategies which will help clients manage, control and improve their return on investment from travel.

Understanding data is the key to successful account management and in the last year the team has undertaken a major step change in the way they communicate that data to clients.

The Account Management Team has worked closely with FCm’s Customer Information team to revolutionise the quality of management information presented to individual clients. The result is a highly visual personalised data review pack which is combined with a multi-national data self-access tool. Account managers guide their client through the data pack to understand what data is important to them and extract what they need to present back to their business. The team believe that this approach is unique in the TMC market. It has been welcomed by clients who have been able to extract relevant information more effectively for presentation of high level summaries to their executive management.

The People Awards will be presented at a celebration lunch on Friday 23rd May at London’s Park Plaza Victoria Hotel.
