FlightStats, the leader in global flight information services, has released the winners for the 8th Annual Airline On-time Performance Service Awards. Whether you are a business traveller or a leisure traveller you might be interested to find out which airlines run the most prompt services and those that are lagging behind..

The awards recognize airlines that deliver the highest percentage of flights to their arrival gates within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time. Using data from 2016, the survey charts the airlines according to the percentage of flights which arrived on schedule. Dutch airline KLM scooped the top spot, with 88.53 per cent of its flights arriving on schedule. Spanish carrier Iberia came a close second, while Japan’s JAL and ANA placed third and sixth, respectively. Here the 10 highest-ranked major international airlines:

Alaska Airlines flights arrived on-time 87 percent of the time in 2016, earning the airline top honours in the 8th annual FlightStats On-Time Service Performance Awards among North American based carriers. Alaska’s on-time performance was even better (87.51 percent) when flights by partner airlines were excluded:
